We are….
people of all ages, babies to great-grandparents. Many members have lived in the Esko/Cloquet/Carlton area since birth, others are new to the area. Some members have been Missouri Synod Lutherans since birth, others have joined St. Matthews from various religious backgrounds. At St. Matthews, there are electricians, plumbers, teachers, nurses, small-business owners, stay-at-home mothers, doctors, farmers, retirees, and many more.
Most importantly we….love Jesus!
Our common bond is our faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
We accept and forgive each other because that is what Jesus does for us.
We offer genuine, heart-felt care to each other during painful and difficult times.
We celebrate friendship and laughter in times of joy.
We are community and family, and try to follow Romans 12:10-13:
“Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with God’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality."
