Preparing children for a lifetime of learning in school and beyond.
Little Esko Lutheran Preschool provides a Christ-centered preschool experience. We partner with parents to plant the seed of God's love in each child.
LELP staff, with the support of the St. Matthews congregation, works as a team to provide a Christian education. LELP seeks to serve the whole child and family (spirit, mind and body).
Our desire is to adhere to Ephesians 6:4: Fathers, don’t stir up anger in your children, but bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.
Little Esko Preschool was founded by Barbara Hanson and Sandy Peterson in 1974. When the preschool relocated to St. Matthews Lutheran Church in 2005, it was renamed Little Eskomo Lutheran Preschool (LELP). In 2021, the preschool was renamed Little Esko Lutheran Preschool and its logo was updated to better reflect its faith-based focus.
For 50 years, the preschool has received support from the families whose children attended LELP, and church and community members. LELP's faith-based curriculum and its caring teachers are largely responsible for making LELP the strong program that it is today.
